
Spinach and Caramelized Onion Tart

Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Grated parmesan cheese (1/2 cup)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Eggs (3)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Onions (2 large, thinly sliced)
- Spinach (6 cups, fresh)
- Frozen puff pastry (1 sheet, thawed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the puff pastry sheet and press it into a tart pan, trimming any excess.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 15 minutes.
- Add the minced garlic and cook for an additional 2 minutes.
- Add the fresh spinach to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the caramelized onion and spinach mixture evenly over the puff pastry crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the vegetables.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tart is golden brown and set.
- Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
