Servings: 6

Ingredients

Frozen puff pastry
1 sheet, thawed
Fresh spinach
4 cups, packed
Garlic
2 cloves, minced
Eggs
3 large
Milk
1/2 cup
Goat cheese
4 ounces, crumbled
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Olive oil
1 tablespoon

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. On a lightly floured surface, roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet to fit a 9-inch tart pan. Carefully place the pastry into the pan, pressing it into the edges. Prick the bottom of the pastry with a fork to prevent bubbling.
  3. Bake the pastry for 10 minutes, or until it is lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly.
  4. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant. Add the fresh spinach and cook, stirring frequently, until wilted. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  5. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined. Season the mixture with salt and pepper.
  6. Spread the sautéed spinach evenly over the baked puff pastry. Crumble the goat cheese over the spinach, distributing it evenly.
  7. Pour the egg mixture over the spinach and cheese, ensuring it seeps through for an even consistency.
  8. Return the tart to the oven and bake for an additional 30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  9. Allow the tart to cool for 5-10 minutes before slicing and serving. This tart is delightful warm or at room temperature.
