- Cod fillets
- 4 (6-ounce) fillets
- Salt

- Black pepper

- All-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup
- Butter
- 4 tablespoons
- Mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup
- Dijon mustard
- 1 tablespoon
- Pickle relish
- 2 tablespoons
- Lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon
- Capers
- 1 tablespoon, chopped
- Fresh parsley
- 2 tablespoons, chopped
Instructions
- Begin by seasoning the cod fillets generously with salt and black pepper on both sides. Dredge each fillet in all-purpose flour, shaking off any excess flour.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Once the butter is hot and bubbling, carefully add the cod fillets to the skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side, or until the fish is golden brown and flakes easily with a fork.
- While the cod is cooking, prepare the remoulade sauce. In a medium bowl, combine the mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, pickle relish, lemon juice, chopped capers, and parsley. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined and the sauce is smooth.
- Once the cod is cooked through, transfer it to a serving platter. Serve the pan-fried cod hot, garnished with a generous dollop of the tangy remoulade sauce on top.
