Stewed Tomatoes

- 1 tablespoon, chopped Fresh oregano
- 1 tablespoon, chopped Fresh basil

Instructions
- Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the diced onion and minced garlic to the skillet. Sauté until the onion is translucent and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
- Stir in the chopped tomatoes, sugar, salt, and freshly ground black pepper. Mix well to combine all the ingredients.
- Reduce the heat to low, cover the skillet, and allow the tomatoes to stew gently for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- After 20 minutes, uncover the skillet and stir in the chopped basil and oregano. Continue to cook for an additional 10 minutes, or until the tomatoes are soft and the flavors have melded beautifully.
