
Sticky Rice Balls

Ingredients
- Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish) (1 tablespoon)
- Water (for cornstarch slurry) (1/4 cup)
- Cornstarch (1/4 cup)
- Sweet filling (red bean paste, sesame paste, etc.) (1 cup)
- Water (1 cup)
- Glutinous rice flour (2 cups)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the glutinous rice flour and water. Mix well until a smooth dough forms.
- Divide the dough into small portions and flatten each portion with your hands.
- Place a spoonful of sweet filling in the center of each flattened dough portion.
- Gently fold the edges of the dough over the filling and seal it to form a ball shape.
- Bring a pot of water to a boil. Add the sticky rice balls and cook for about 10-15 minutes, or until they float to the surface.
- In a separate small bowl, mix the cornstarch and water to make a slurry.
- Remove the cooked sticky rice balls from the pot and transfer them to a plate.
- Drizzle the cornstarch slurry over the sticky rice balls to give them a glossy appearance.
- Optional: Sprinkle sesame seeds on top for garnish.
- Serve the sticky rice balls warm and enjoy!
