Ingredients
- Glutinous rice
- 2 cups
- Youtiao (Chinese doughnut)
- 2, cut in half
- Pork floss
- 1/2 cup
- Pickled mustard greens
- 1/2 cup, chopped
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Sesame seeds
- 1 tablespoon, toasted
Instructions
- Soak the glutinous rice in water for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Drain the soaked rice and steam it for about 15 minutes, or until the rice becomes translucent and sticky.
- While the rice is steaming, prepare the youtiao by cutting it in half lengthwise to create a pocket.
- Once the rice is ready, spread it on a clean surface or a bamboo mat, ensuring an even layer.
- Place the youtiao in the center of the rice, then generously add the chopped pickled mustard greens and pork floss on top.
- Carefully roll the rice around the fillings, pressing firmly to ensure everything sticks together and forms a tight roll.
