Stir Fried Basil and Chili Chicken

- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 4 cloves, minced
- Red chili
- 2, sliced (adjust to taste)
- Chicken breast
- 1 pound, thinly sliced
- Sugar
- 1 teaspoon
- Oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Fish sauce
- 1 tablespoon
- Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons
- Fresh basil leaves
- 1 cup, packed
Instructions
- Heat vegetable oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat until shimmering.
- Add minced garlic and sliced red chili to the pan. Stir-fry for about 1 minute, or until fragrant but not burnt.
- Add the sliced chicken breast to the wok, stirring frequently to ensure even cooking. Stir-fry for about 5-6 minutes, or until the chicken is no longer pink and cooked through.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, fish sauce, oyster sauce, and sugar until well combined.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the chicken in the wok. Stir-fry for an additional 2 minutes, allowing the chicken to soak up the flavors.
- Add the fresh basil leaves and stir-fry for another minute, until the basil is wilted and fragrant.
- Remove from heat and serve hot over steamed jasmine rice or noodles. Enjoy the burst of flavors!
