Servings: 4

Ingredients

  • Flank steak (1 pound)
  • Salt (1 teaspoon)
  • Black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Garlic powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Chili powder (2 teaspoons)
  • Cumin (1 teaspoon)
  • Corn tortillas (8 small)
  • Onion (1, diced)
  • Radishes (4, thinly sliced)
  • Avocado (1, sliced)
  • Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Lime (1, juiced)
  • Salsa (1/2 cup)
  • Sour cream (1/2 cup)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin to create a spice rub. Mix well.
  2. Generously rub the spice mixture over the flank steak, ensuring an even coating. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor infusion.
  3. Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
  4. Grill the flank steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended for tenderness).
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain its juices before slicing.
  6. Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips to ensure maximum tenderness.
  7. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or in a dry skillet until pliable.
  8. Assemble each taco by placing a few slices of steak on each tortilla.
  9. Top generously with diced onion, sliced radishes, chopped cilantro, and avocado slices. Drizzle with salsa and finish with a squeeze of lime juice.
  10. Serve the tacos with a side of sour cream and additional lime wedges for an extra zesty kick.
