- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon
- Chili powder
- 2 teaspoons
- Cumin
- 1 teaspoon
- Corn tortillas
- 8 small
- Onion
- 1, diced
- Radishes
- 4, thinly sliced
- Avocado
- 1, sliced
- Cilantro
- 1/4 cup, chopped
- Lime
- 1, juiced
- Salsa
- 1/2 cup
- Sour cream
- 1/2 cup
Instructions
- In a bowl, combine salt, black pepper, garlic powder, chili powder, and cumin to create a spice rub. Mix well.
- Generously rub the spice mixture over the flank steak, ensuring an even coating. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor infusion.
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium-high heat until hot.
- Grill the flank steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired doneness (medium-rare is recommended for tenderness).
- Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes to retain its juices before slicing.
- Slice the steak against the grain into thin strips to ensure maximum tenderness.
- Warm the corn tortillas on the grill for about 30 seconds on each side or in a dry skillet until pliable.
- Assemble each taco by placing a few slices of steak on each tortilla.
- Top generously with diced onion, sliced radishes, chopped cilantro, and avocado slices. Drizzle with salsa and finish with a squeeze of lime juice.
- Serve the tacos with a side of sour cream and additional lime wedges for an extra zesty kick.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a few dashes of your favorite hot sauce on top of the tacos.
- Feel free to substitute flank steak with skirt steak or chicken for different flavor profiles.
- If you prefer, you can grill the vegetables as well, such as bell peppers or zucchini, to add more texture and flavor.
