Street Tacos

These delicious street tacos are filled with flavorful marinated meat, fresh toppings, and a squeeze of lime.

Ingredients

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Garlic powder (1/2 teaspoon)
  • Chili powder (1 teaspoon)
  • Cumin (1 teaspoon)
  • Sour cream (1/4 cup)
  • Salsa (1/2 cup)
  • Avocado (1, sliced)
  • Radishes (1/2 cup, thinly sliced)
  • Onion (1/2 cup, diced)
  • Cilantro (1/2 cup, chopped)
  • Lime (1, cut into wedges)
  • Corn tortillas (12)
  • Flank steak (1 pound)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the cumin, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Rub the spice mixture all over the flank steak and let it marinate for at least 1 hour, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat a grill or grill pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Grill the flank steak for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until it reaches your desired level of doneness.
  5. Remove the steak from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes.
  6. Slice the steak into thin strips against the grain.
  7. Warm the corn tortillas on the grill or in a dry skillet.
  8. Assemble the tacos by placing a few slices of steak on each tortilla.
  9. Top with diced onion, sliced radishes, chopped cilantro, avocado slices, salsa, and a squeeze of lime juice.
  10. Serve the street tacos with sour cream and additional lime wedges on the side.
