Ingredients

Original recipe serves 2

Strip Loin Steak
2 pieces (about 8 oz each)
Fresh Rosemary
2 sprigs
Garlic Powder
1 teaspoon
Black Pepper
1 teaspoon, freshly ground
Salt
1 teaspoon, or to taste
Olive Oil
2 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill or a cast-iron skillet over high heat.
  2. While the grill or skillet is heating, prepare the steaks. Rub each strip loin steak with olive oil. This will help the seasoning adhere to the steak and assist in forming a delectable crust.
  3. In a small bowl, combine the salt, freshly ground black pepper, and garlic powder. Season the steaks on both sides with this mixture.
  4. Once your grill or skillet is hot, place the steaks on it, cooking for 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare. Adjust the cooking time to reach your desired level of doneness. A hot and fast cook will ensure a succulent steak with a desirable sear.
  5. After cooking, remove the steaks from the heat and let them rest for 5 minutes. This will allow the juices to redistribute throughout the steak, keeping it moist and flavorful.
  6. Garnish the steak with fresh rosemary sprigs and serve hot. The rosemary will infuse the steak with a subtle herbal aroma, enhancing the savory experience.
