Ingredients
- Shredded cheese (1/2 cup)
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Tomato sauce (1 cup)
- Cooked rice (1 cup)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1, chopped)
- Ground beef (1 pound)
- Bell peppers (4, tops cut off and seeds removed)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F.
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and garlic over medium heat until the beef is no longer pink. Drain the fat.
- Stir in the rice, tomato sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Spoon the beef mixture into the bell peppers and place them in a baking dish.
- Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
- Uncover, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for an additional 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
