Ingredients
- Potatoes
- 2 lbs, cubed
- Olive oil
- 2 tablespoons
- Brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons
- Chili powder
- 1 teaspoon
- Paprika
- 1 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, place the cubed potatoes. Drizzle them with olive oil. Toss the potatoes until they are evenly coated with the oil.
- In a separate small bowl, combine the brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create your spice blend.
- Gradually sprinkle the spice blend over the oiled potatoes. Toss the potatoes until they are uniformly coated with the spice blend.
- On a baking sheet, spread the potatoes out in a single layer. This will ensure even baking and a crispy finish.
- Bake the potatoes in the preheated oven for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, remove the baking sheet from the oven and flip the potatoes to ensure even browning.
- Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for an additional 20-25 minutes. The potatoes should be crispy and golden brown when done.
- Serve the Sweet and Spicy Country Potatoes hot. They make a wonderful side dish for a variety of main courses such as steak, grilled chicken, or roasted vegetables.
