Ingredients
- Yogurt
- 1 cup, plain and unsweetened
- Water
- 1/2 cup, or more for desired consistency
- Sugar
- 2-4 tablespoons, adjust to taste
- Cardamom powder
- 1/4 teaspoon
- Ice cubes
- as needed
- Chopped fruit (optional)
- 1/2 cup, like mango or strawberries
- Chopped mint leaves (optional)
- 1 tablespoon, for garnish
Instructions
- In a blender, combine the yogurt, water, sugar, and cardamom powder.
- Blend the mixture on high until it becomes frothy and well combined. Taste and adjust sweetness if necessary.
- Add ice cubes to the blender and blend again for a few seconds until the ice is crushed and incorporated.
- If using, add the chopped fruit and blend briefly to combine without completely pureeing it.
- Pour the lassi into glasses. Garnish with chopped mint leaves if desired.
- Serve immediately and enjoy chilled.
Tips
- For a thicker lassi, use Greek yogurt or reduce the amount of water.
- Experiment with different fruits like mango, banana, or mixed berries for a fruity twist.
- You can also add a squeeze of lemon juice for a tangy kick.
