
Swiss Chard and Bacon Quiche
This delicious Swiss chard and bacon quiche is a perfect combination of savory flavors and creamy texture.
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Cheddar cheese (1 cup, shredded)
- Milk (1 cup)
- Eggs (4)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Onion (1 medium, diced)
- Bacon (6 slices, cooked and crumbled)
- Swiss chard (1 bunch, stems removed and leaves chopped)
- Pie crust (1, store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place the pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish and set aside.
- In a large skillet, cook the bacon until crispy. Remove from the skillet and crumble into small pieces.
- In the same skillet, sauté the onion and garlic until softened.
- Add the Swiss chard to the skillet and cook until wilted.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the cooked Swiss chard mixture evenly over the pie crust.
- Pour the egg mixture over the Swiss chard.
- Sprinkle the crumbled bacon and shredded cheddar cheese on top.
- Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set and golden brown.
- Allow the quiche to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
