
Swiss Chard and Goat Cheese Tart
This delicious tart features a flaky crust filled with sautéed Swiss chard and creamy goat cheese.
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Eggs (3)
- Goat cheese (4 ounces, crumbled)
- Swiss chard (1 bunch, stems removed and leaves chopped)
- Pie crust (1 (store-bought or homemade))
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Roll out the pie crust and press it into a tart pan. Trim any excess dough.
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute.
- Add the Swiss chard leaves to the skillet and cook until wilted, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. Season with salt and pepper.
- Spread the sautéed Swiss chard evenly over the pie crust.
- Sprinkle the crumbled goat cheese over the Swiss chard.
- Pour the egg mixture over the filling, making sure it is evenly distributed.
- Bake the tart in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the crust is golden and the filling is set.
- Allow the tart to cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
