Servings: 6

Ingredients

  • Pie crust (1 (9-inch) store-bought or homemade)
  • Swiss chard (4 cups, chopped)
  • Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
  • Roasted garlic (1/2 cup, mashed)
  • Eggs (4 large)
  • Milk (1 cup)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (1 cup)
  • Salt (1/2 teaspoon, or to taste)
  • Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon, or to taste)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and gently press it into a 9-inch pie dish, ensuring there are no air pockets. Trim any excess crust around the edges.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped Swiss chard and sauté until wilted and tender, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, mashed roasted garlic, grated Parmesan cheese, salt, and black pepper until well combined.
  5. Spread the sautéed Swiss chard evenly over the bottom of the pie crust.
  6. Slowly pour the egg mixture over the Swiss chard, ensuring an even distribution.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35-40 minutes, or until the quiche is set in the center and golden brown on top.
  8. Once baked, allow the quiche to cool for about 5-10 minutes before slicing. Serve warm or at room temperature.
