Ingredients

Fresh Swiss chard leaves
8
Cream cheese, softened
1 cup
Smoked salmon slices
8 slices
Capers
2 tablespoons
Lemon juice, freshly squeezed
2 tablespoons
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. Wash the Swiss chard leaves gently under cold water, then pat them dry using a clean kitchen towel.
  2. Lay out each Swiss chard leaf flat on a clean work surface.
  3. Spread a generous amount of softened cream cheese on each leaf, leaving a small border around the edges.
  4. Place a slice of smoked salmon on top of the cream cheese layer.
  5. Scatter capers evenly over the smoked salmon slices.
  6. Drizzle the freshly squeezed lemon juice over the rolls, then season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
  7. Starting from one end, roll up the Swiss chard leaves tightly to form neat rolls.
  8. Using a sharp knife, slice each roll into bite-sized pieces.
  9. Place the rolls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
  10. Serve chilled as an appetizer or light meal. Enjoy!

  • 💡 For a dairy-free version, you can replace the cream cheese with avocado puree.
