- Ground beef (1 pound)
- Taco seasoning (1 packet (or homemade equivalent))
- Water (2/3 cup)
- Tortillas (8 small (corn or flour))
- Lettuce (1 cup, shredded)
- Tomatoes (1 cup, diced)
- Onion (1/2 cup, diced)
- Cheddar cheese (1 cup, shredded)
- Sour cream (1/2 cup)
- Guacamole (1/2 cup)
- Salsa (1/2 cup)
Instructions
- In a large skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat, breaking it apart with a spatula until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess fat.
- Add the taco seasoning and the 2/3 cup of water to the skillet. Stir well and bring to a simmer. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens.
- While the beef is cooking, warm the tortillas in a separate skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side, or wrap them in aluminum foil and place them in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for 10 minutes.
- To assemble the tacos, place a generous spoonful of the seasoned ground beef onto each warm tortilla.
- Top each taco with a handful of shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, diced onion, and a sprinkle of shredded cheese.
- Add a dollop of sour cream, a spoonful of salsa, and a scoop of guacamole on top.
