Red bell pepper

Green bell pepper

Garlic
2 cloves, minced

Tomato sauce

Chicken breast
2 cups, cooked and shredded
Pork lard
1/4 cup
Salt
1 teaspoon
Chicken broth
1 cup
Corn dough (masa harina)
2 cups

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine the corn dough, chicken broth, salt, and pork lard. Mix until the dough is smooth and well-combined.
  3. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and diced bell peppers. Sauté until the vegetables are soft and fragrant, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. Stir in the shredded chicken and tomato sauce, mixing well to coat the chicken evenly. Cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until heated through.
  5. Spread the corn dough mixture evenly into a greased baking dish, creating a slight well in the center.
  6. Spoon the chicken and vegetable mixture into the well of the corn dough, spreading it evenly.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour, or until the dough is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
  8. Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.
