Servings: 2

Ingredients

Ripe avocados
2, halved and pitted
Greek yogurt
1/2 cup
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Tandoori masala
2 tablespoons
Ground cumin
1 teaspoon
Ground coriander
1 teaspoon
Turmeric
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Black pepper
1/2 teaspoon
Chopped cilantro
1/4 cup, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Begin by cutting the ripe avocados in half and carefully removing the pits.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, tandoori masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended and smooth.
  3. Scoop out a small amount of flesh from each avocado half to create a cavity for the marinade, being careful not to pierce the skin.
  4. Place the avocados in a shallow dish, and generously spoon the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the avocados to soak up the flavors of the marinade.
  5. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let the avocados marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.
  6. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, preparing for direct grilling.
  7. Once marinated, carefully remove the avocados from the marinade and place them on the grill, cut side down.
  8. Grill the avocados for about 5 minutes, or until grill marks appear and the flesh is slightly softened.
  9. Flip the avocados over and grill for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
  10. Remove the grilled avocados from the grill and serve hot, garnished with additional chopped cilantro for a fresh touch.
