Servings: 2
Ingredients
- Ripe avocados
- 2, halved and pitted
- Greek yogurt
- 1/2 cup
- Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons
- Tandoori masala
- 2 tablespoons
- Ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon
- Ground coriander
- 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Chopped cilantro
- 1/4 cup, for garnish
Instructions
- Begin by cutting the ripe avocados in half and carefully removing the pits.
- In a mixing bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, tandoori masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix until well blended and smooth.
- Scoop out a small amount of flesh from each avocado half to create a cavity for the marinade, being careful not to pierce the skin.
- Place the avocados in a shallow dish, and generously spoon the marinade over them, ensuring they are evenly coated. Allow the avocados to soak up the flavors of the marinade.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and let the avocados marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, allowing the spices to infuse.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, preparing for direct grilling.
- Once marinated, carefully remove the avocados from the marinade and place them on the grill, cut side down.
- Grill the avocados for about 5 minutes, or until grill marks appear and the flesh is slightly softened.
- Flip the avocados over and grill for an additional 5 minutes to heat through.
- Remove the grilled avocados from the grill and serve hot, garnished with additional chopped cilantro for a fresh touch.
