Tandoori Beef

- Beef steak
- 1 lb, thinly sliced
- Yogurt
- 1 cup, plain
- Lemon juice
- 2 tablespoons
- Garlic
- 4 cloves, minced
- Ginger
- 1 tablespoon, grated
- Tandoori masala
- 2 tablespoons
- Paprika
- 1 teaspoon
- Cumin
- 1 teaspoon
- Coriander
- 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt
- 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable oil
- 2 tablespoons, for brushing
- Lemon wedges
- for serving
- Fresh cilantro
- for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, turmeric, and salt. Mix well to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the thinly sliced beef to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for the best flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or your oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Remove the marinated beef from the refrigerator and allow it to come to room temperature for about 15 minutes.
- If using a grill, thread the beef slices onto skewers. If using an oven, arrange the beef slices on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil.
- Brush the beef slices with vegetable oil to prevent sticking and enhance the flavor.
- Grill the beef skewers or bake in the oven for approximately 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the beef reaches your desired level of doneness.
- Once cooked, remove the beef from the grill or oven and let it rest for a few minutes to retain its juices.
- Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges.
