
Tandoori Chicken Mac and Cheese
A fusion of Indian and American cuisine, this dish combines the spicy flavors of tandoori chicken with creamy mac and cheese.
Ingredients
- Salt and pepper (to taste)
- Cheddar cheese (2 cups, shredded)
- Milk (2 cups)
- All (purpose flour - 2 tablespoons)
- Butter (2 tablespoons)
- Macaroni (2 cups)
- Yogurt (1/2 cup)
- Tandoori masala (2 tablespoons)
- Chicken breast (2, boneless and skinless)
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken with tandoori masala and yogurt for at least 2 hours, then grill until fully cooked.
- Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to make a roux, then gradually whisk in the milk. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
- Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Season with salt and pepper.
- Add the cooked macaroni and grilled chicken to the cheese sauce, stirring until well coated.
- Serve the tandoori chicken mac and cheese hot, garnished with extra cheese if desired.
