Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, and salt. Whisk together until smooth to create a flavorful marinade.
- Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss until they are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, making sure to brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
- Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and discard the leftover marinade.
- Place the wings on the grill and cook for about 12-15 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked through, have nice grill marks, and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
- Once cooked, remove the wings from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
- Garnish the wings with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.
Tips
- For an extra kick, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- Serve alongside a cooling yogurt sauce or mint chutney for a refreshing contrast.
- These wings can also be baked in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes if grilling isn’t an option.
