Ingredients

Original recipe serves 4

Chicken wings
2 pounds
Plain yogurt
1 cup
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Garlic
4 cloves, minced
Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Tandoori masala
2 tablespoons
Paprika
1 tablespoon
Cumin
1 teaspoon
Coriander
1 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Vegetable oil
for grilling
Fresh cilantro
for garnish
Lemon wedges
for serving

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the plain yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, cumin, coriander, and salt. Whisk together until smooth to create a flavorful marinade.
  2. Add the chicken wings to the marinade and toss until they are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, making sure to brush the grill grates with vegetable oil to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove the chicken wings from the marinade, shaking off any excess, and discard the leftover marinade.
  5. Place the wings on the grill and cook for about 12-15 minutes per side, or until they are fully cooked through, have nice grill marks, and reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  6. Once cooked, remove the wings from the grill and transfer them to a serving platter.
  7. Garnish the wings with fresh cilantro and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zing.

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra kick, add cayenne pepper to the marinade.
  • 💡 Serve alongside a cooling yogurt sauce or mint chutney for a refreshing contrast.
  • 💡 These wings can also be baked in the oven at 425°F (220°C) for 25-30 minutes if grilling isn’t an option.
