Servings: 4

Ingredients

Crab
2, cleaned and halved
Yogurt
1 cup, plain
Ginger paste
1 tablespoon
Garlic paste
1 tablespoon
Lemon juice
2 tablespoons
Tandoori masala
2 tablespoons
Red chili powder
1 teaspoon
Turmeric powder
1/2 teaspoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Oil
2 tablespoons, for grilling
Fresh coriander leaves
for garnish
Lemon wedges
for serving

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the yogurt, ginger paste, garlic paste, lemon juice, tandoori masala, red chili powder, turmeric powder, and salt. Whisk until well blended to create a smooth marinade.
  2. Add the cleaned and halved crabs to the marinade, ensuring they are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let it marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, allowing the flavors to penetrate the crab meat.
  3. Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it reaches a steady temperature for even cooking.
  4. Brush the grill grates with oil to prevent sticking and enhance flavor.
  5. Carefully place the marinated crabs on the grill. Cook for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the crabs are cooked through, have a slight char, and the shells turn a vibrant orange.
  6. Remove the crabs from the grill and garnish with fresh coriander leaves.
  7. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side for an extra zesty kick.
