Servings: 4-6

Ingredients

Fresh cilantro
2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Chaat masala
1 tablespoon
Salt
1 teaspoon
Ginger-garlic paste
2 teaspoons
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Tandoori masala
2 tablespoons
Yogurt
1/2 cup
Ripe guavas
4-6, depending on size

Instructions

  1. Begin by washing the guavas thoroughly. Cut them into halves and carefully remove the seeds.
  2. Prepare the marinade by combining the yogurt, tandoori masala, lemon juice, ginger-garlic paste, salt, and chaat masala in a large bowl. Stir well until all the ingredients are blended together.
  3. Immerse the guava halves in the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Cover the bowl and allow the guavas to marinate for at least 30 minutes. For a more intense flavor, you can leave them to marinate overnight in the refrigerator.
  4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat. If you're using a charcoal grill, wait until the coals are covered with white ash.
  5. Place the marinated guava halves on the grill. Grill them for about 5 minutes on each side, or until they are slightly charred and tender.
  6. Remove the guavas from the grill and garnish with freshly chopped cilantro.
  7. Serve hot as an appetizer or snack. Enjoy this unique twist on a traditional tandoori dish!
