Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash the pears, cut them in half lengthwise, and gently remove the core while keeping the pear halves intact.
- In a bowl, prepare the tandoori marinade by mixing Greek yogurt, tandoori marinade, lemon juice, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, salt, and chaat masala. Stir until well combined.
- Generously coat the pear halves with the marinade mixture, ensuring they are evenly covered. Let them marinate for at least 15 minutes to allow the flavors to soak in.
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Arrange the marinated pear halves on the sheet, cut-side down.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the pears are tender and the marinade has slightly caramelized. Avoid overcooking as the pears should retain some firmness.
- Remove from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes.
- Before serving, garnish with a sprinkle of fresh chopped cilantro to add a burst of color and freshness. Serve warm and enjoy the tantalizing flavors of your Tandoori Pear!
Tips
- For a more intense flavor, let the pears marinate for longer, up to 2 hours in the refrigerator.
- This recipe pairs well with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for a decadent dessert, or with a dollop of creamy Greek yogurt for a lighter option.
