Instructions
- In a medium-sized bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, lemon juice, minced garlic, grated ginger, tandoori masala, paprika, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and salt. Mix well to create a smooth marinade.
- Add the sliced squid to the marinade and toss until all pieces are thoroughly coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and let the squid marinate in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour, or overnight for more intense flavor.
- Preheat your grill to medium-high heat, ensuring it's well-oiled to prevent sticking.
- Thread the marinated squid onto skewers, spacing them slightly apart to allow even cooking.
- Once the grill is ready, place the squid skewers on the grates. Grill for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until the squid is opaque and has nice grill marks.
- Remove the squid from the grill and garnish with fresh cilantro. Serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.
Tips
- For a spicier kick, add diced jalapeños or a dash of cayenne pepper to the marinade.
- If you prefer a smoky flavor, consider adding a few drops of liquid smoke to the marinade.
- This dish pairs beautifully with a side of cucumber raita or naan bread to balance the spices.
