Ingredients
- Pizza dough
- 1 pound
- Crème fraîche
- 1 cup
- Onion
- 1 large, thinly sliced
- Bacon
- 4 ounces, chopped into lardons
- Gruyère cheese
- 1 cup, grated
- Fresh chives
- 2 tablespoons, chopped
- Salt

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 475°F (245°C). If using a pizza stone, place it in the oven to heat up.
- On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a thin rectangle or circle, about 1/8 inch thick.
- Transfer the rolled-out dough to a parchment-lined baking sheet or a preheated pizza stone.
- Spread the crème fraîche evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
- Evenly distribute the sliced onions and chopped bacon over the crème fraîche.
- Sprinkle the grated Gruyère cheese on top of the bacon and onions.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the toppings are bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with fresh chives.
- Slice into squares or wedges and serve hot, paired with a crisp green salad or your favorite wine.
