Servings: 6
Ingredients
- Ground beef (1 pound)
- Onion (1 medium, chopped)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Mixed vegetables (2 cups (frozen or fresh, such as peas, carrots, and corn))
- Cream of mushroom soup (1 can (10.5 ounces))
- Milk (1/2 cup)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Cheddar cheese (2 cups, shredded (divided))
- Tater tots (1 bag (32 ounces))
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef until cooked through, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain any excess fat.
- Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking until the onion becomes translucent, about 3-4 minutes.
- Stir in the mixed vegetables, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the shredded cheddar cheese. Season with salt and black pepper to taste, ensuring everything is well combined.
- Pour the creamy beef and vegetable mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish, spreading it evenly across the bottom.
- Arrange the tater tots in a single layer on top of the mixture, ensuring they cover the surface completely. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese over the tater tots.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy the deliciousness!
