Indulge in the luxurious blend of robust flavors that is our Tequila Negroni. This cocktail is an exciting spin on the classic Negroni, replacing gin with the smooth, smoky notes of a good tequila. The result is an alluring concoction that balances sweetness, bitterness, and the distinct character of tequila. The orange twist garnish not only adds a pop of color but also a delicate citrus aroma that enhances the overall experience.

Servings: 1

Ingredients

Ice cubes
as needed
Orange peel
1 twist
Sweet vermouth
1 ounce
Campari
1 ounce
Tequila, preferably a reposado or añejo
1 ounce

Instructions

  1. Place your rocks glass in the freezer to chill.
  2. In a mixing glass or cocktail shaker, fill with ice.
  3. Pour the tequila, Campari, and sweet vermouth over the ice.
  4. Stir the mixture for about 30 seconds until well chilled. The stirring helps to dilute the cocktail slightly and bring all the flavors together.
  5. Take the chilled rocks glass and fill it with fresh ice cubes.
  6. Strain the mixture into the prepared rocks glass.
  7. Twist the orange peel over the glass to release its oils, then drop it into the cocktail as a garnish.
  8. Serve immediately and enjoy the complex flavors of your homemade Tequila Negroni.
