Rye whiskey
2 ounces
Punt e Mes
1 ounce
Maraschino liqueur
1/2 ounce
Orange peel
1, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Fill a mixing glass with ice to chill.
  2. Pour in the rye whiskey, Punt e Mes, and maraschino liqueur over the ice.
  3. Stir the cocktail mixture gently until well chilled, approximately 30 seconds. Tip: The aim here is to combine the ingredients well without diluting the drink too much.
  4. Strain the cocktail into a chilled glass to remove the ice and achieve a smoother drink.
  5. Twist the orange peel over the cocktail to release its oils and then drop it into the glass as a garnish.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy this classic cocktail!
