
Thyme and Lemon Grilled Tofu
This flavorful grilled tofu is marinated in a mixture of thyme, lemon, and spices, resulting in a delicious and healthy plant-based dish.
Ingredients
- Black pepper (1/4 teaspoon)
- Salt (1/2 teaspoon)
- Olive oil (2 tablespoons)
- Garlic (2 cloves, minced)
- Lemon juice (2 tablespoons)
- Fresh thyme (2 tablespoons, chopped)
- Extra firm tofu (1 block (14 oz))
Instructions
- Drain and press the tofu to remove excess moisture.
- In a bowl, whisk together the thyme, lemon juice, minced garlic, olive oil, salt, and black pepper to make the marinade.
- Cut the tofu into slices or cubes, then place them in a shallow dish.
- Pour the marinade over the tofu, making sure each piece is coated. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes, or overnight for more flavor.
- Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
- Remove the tofu from the marinade and shake off any excess. Reserve the marinade for basting.
- Grill the tofu for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until grill marks appear and the tofu is heated through.
- While grilling, brush the tofu with the reserved marinade for extra flavor.
- Remove the tofu from the grill and let it rest for a few minutes before serving.
- Serve the thyme and lemon grilled tofu with your favorite side dishes or on top of a salad.
