Black pepper

Dijon mustard
1 tablespoon
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
Lettuce leaves
4 leaves, washed and dried
Cucumber
1 medium, thinly sliced
Tomato
1 large, thinly sliced
Bread slices
4 slices (whole grain or sourdough recommended)

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, combine the mayonnaise and Dijon mustard. Mix until smooth and well-blended.
  2. Spread the mayo-mustard mixture evenly on one side of each slice of bread.
  3. On two slices of bread (mayo-mustard side up), layer the lettuce leaves followed by the tomato slices and cucumber slices.
  4. Sprinkle salt and pepper over the vegetables to enhance their flavor.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of bread, mayo-mustard side down, creating a sandwich.
  6. Press down gently on the sandwiches to help everything hold together.
  7. Cut each sandwich in half diagonally for a beautiful presentation and serve immediately.
