Tostadas

These crispy chicken tostadas are topped with flavorful shredded chicken, refried beans, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and avocado.

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil (for frying)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Lime (1, juiced)
  • Cilantro (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Sour cream (1/2 cup)
  • Avocado (1, sliced)
  • Cheese (1 cup, shredded)
  • Tomatoes (2, diced)
  • Lettuce (2 cups, shredded)
  • Refried beans (1 cup)
  • Chicken breasts (2, cooked and shredded)
  • Corn tortillas (8)

Instructions

  1. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Fry the corn tortillas one at a time until crispy and golden brown. Drain on paper towels.
  3. In a bowl, combine the shredded chicken with salt, pepper, and lime juice.
  4. Spread a layer of refried beans on each crispy tortilla.
  5. Top with shredded chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, avocado, sour cream, and cilantro.
  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
