Authentic Mexican Tostadas with Beans, Cheese and Salsa

Ingredients
- Sour cream
- 1/2 cup
- Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon
- Lime juice
- 1 tablespoon
- Cilantro
- 1/4 cup, chopped
- Red onion
- 1 small, finely diced
- Tomatoes
- 2 medium, diced
- Cheddar cheese
- 1 cup, shredded
- Refried beans
- 1 cup
- Tostada shells
- 4
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (180°C).
- Arrange the tostada shells on a baking sheet and bake for 5 minutes, or until they become crispy.
- Spread an equal amount of refried beans on each tostada shell.
- Evenly sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the beans on each tostada.
- While the tostadas are baking, prepare the salsa. In a medium bowl, combine the diced tomatoes, red onion, chopped cilantro, lime juice, and salt. Mix well until all the ingredients are well incorporated.
- Remove the tostadas from the oven. Spoon a generous amount of salsa over the melted cheese on each tostada.
- To finish, drizzle sour cream over the salsa on each tostada.
