Tres Leches Latte

Immerse yourself in the luxurious blend of a Tres Leches Latte, a drinkable form of the classic Latin American dessert. This warm, creamy latte combines the richness of three milks - evaporated, condensed, and whole - with the robustness of espresso, all enveloped in a cloud of whipped cream and a dash of cinnamon. It's a sweet, indulgent treat that's perfect for a cozy afternoon.

Ingredients

Espresso or strong brewed coffee
1 shot or 1/2 cup
Whole milk
1 cup
Evaporated milk
1/4 cup
Sweetened condensed milk
2 tablespoons
Vanilla extract
1 teaspoon
Ground cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon, plus extra for garnish
Whipped cream
enough for topping

Instructions

  1. Brew a shot of espresso or make a strong cup of coffee and set aside.
  2. In a saucepan, heat the whole milk over medium heat until it's hot but not boiling.
  3. Add the sweetened condensed milk, evaporated milk, vanilla extract, and half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon to the saucepan. Stir until well combined.
  4. Transfer the hot milk mixture into a blender. Blend on high speed for 30 seconds until frothy.
  5. Pour the brewed espresso or coffee into a large mug.
  6. Slowly pour the frothy milk mixture over the coffee, using a spoon to hold back the foam to create a layered effect.
  7. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream.
  8. Sprinkle with a pinch of ground cinnamon for garnish.
  9. Serve your Tres Leches Latte immediately while it's still warm, and enjoy this decadent delight!

Tips

  • 💡 For an extra touch of indulgence, drizzle some caramel sauce over the whipped cream. If you're a fan of nutmeg, it can be a nice substitute for the ground cinnamon.
