Instructions
- Combine the drained canned tuna, pitted green olives, garlic cloves, lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil, capers, chopped fresh parsley, salt, and pepper in a food processor.
- Pulse the mixture until it reaches your desired consistency. For a chunkier tapenade, pulse less; for a smoother spread, pulse more.
- Taste the tapenade and adjust the seasoning if needed. You may want to add more salt, pepper, or lemon juice according to your preference.
- Transfer the tapenade to a serving bowl. It can be served immediately, but for best flavor, cover and refrigerate it for an hour to let the flavors meld together.
