  • Tomato paste (2 tablespoons)
  • Dried oregano (1 teaspoon)
  • Dried basil (1 teaspoon)
  • Red pepper flakes (1/2 teaspoon (adjust to taste))
  • Salt (to taste)
  • Black pepper (to taste)
  • Cooked pasta (12 ounces (spaghetti, penne, or your choice))
  • Fresh parsley (1/4 cup, chopped)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (1/2 cup, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic, cooking until softened and fragrant, about 5 minutes.
  3. Incorporate the flaked tuna into the skillet, breaking it up with a spoon. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to warm the tuna.
  4. Stir in the canned diced tomatoes, tomato paste, dried oregano, dried basil, red pepper flakes, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to combine the flavors.
