Canned tuna
1 can (5 oz), drained
Mayonnaise
2 tablespoons
Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon
Red onion
2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Celery
2 tablespoons, finely chopped
Fresh parsley
1 tablespoon, chopped
Salt
to taste
Pepper
to taste
Cheddar cheese
4 slices (or more to taste)
Bread slices
4 slices (your choice of bread)
Butter
2 tablespoons, softened

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, chopped red onion, chopped celery, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  2. Spread the tuna mixture evenly onto two slices of bread.
  3. Layer two slices of cheddar cheese over the tuna mixture on each sandwich.
  4. Top with the remaining two slices of bread to form two sandwiches.
  5. In a skillet over medium heat, melt the softened butter.
  6. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and cook until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melty, about 3-4 minutes per side. Press down gently with a spatula for even grilling.
  7. Remove from the skillet and allow to cool for a few minutes before slicing in half.
  8. Serve warm and enjoy your delicious creation!
