Ingredients

Canned tuna
2 cans (5 ounces each), drained
Mayonnaise
1/4 cup
Celery
1/2 cup, finely chopped
Red onion
1/4 cup, finely chopped
Lemon juice
1 tablespoon
Salt
to taste
Black pepper
to taste
Lettuce
4 leaves
Tomato
1 large, sliced
Bread
4 slices (whole grain or your preferred type)

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the drained canned tuna, mayonnaise, finely chopped celery, finely chopped red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  2. Toast the bread slices to your desired level of crispiness.
  3. On two slices of toasted bread, place a leaf of lettuce and two slices of tomato.
  4. Evenly divide the tuna mixture on top of the tomato slices.
  5. Top with the remaining slices of toasted bread to create the sandwiches.
  6. Slice the sandwiches in half, if desired, and serve immediately for the best taste.
