Tuna Sandwich

This classic tuna sandwich is made with canned tuna, mayonnaise, and fresh vegetables.

Ingredients

  • Tomato (4 slices)
  • Lettuce (4 leaves)
  • Bread (4 slices)
  • Salt and pepper (to taste)
  • Lemon juice (1 tablespoon)
  • Red onion (1/4 cup, diced)
  • Celery (1/4 cup, diced)
  • Mayonnaise (2 tablespoons)
  • Canned tuna (1 can, drained)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine the canned tuna, mayonnaise, celery, red onion, lemon juice, salt, and pepper.
  2. Mix well.
  3. Toast the bread slices.
  4. Place a lettuce leaf and two tomato slices on two of the bread slices.
  5. Divide the tuna mixture between the two sandwiches.
  6. Top with the remaining bread slices.
  7. Serve immediately.
