Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 500°F (260°C). If you have a pizza stone, place it in the oven while it heats. If not, a baking sheet will do.
- On a floured surface, divide your pizza dough into 4 equal parts. Roll each piece out into a thin circle, roughly the size of a dinner plate.
- In a large bowl, mix together the ground meat, chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes, chopped bell pepper, chopped parsley, paprika, cumin, and a generous pinch of salt and pepper.
- Spread this flavorful mixture evenly over each piece of rolled-out dough, leaving a small border around the edges to form the crust.
- Transfer the pizzas onto the preheated pizza stone or baking sheet. Be careful as it will be very hot.
- Bake for 10-15 minutes, until the crust is golden and the meat is fully cooked.
- To serve, drizzle a bit of olive oil over each pizza and provide lemon wedges for guests to squeeze over their pizza for added zest. Enjoy your culinary trip to Turkey!
Tips
- For a vegetarian version, replace the meat with a mix of finely chopped mushrooms and eggplant. You can also add a sprinkle of cheese on top for extra richness.
