Instructions
- Preheat your grill or grill pan over medium heat.
- Grill the hot dogs until they are heated through and have grill marks, about 5 minutes, turning occasionally for even cooking.
- While the hot dogs are grilling, prepare the tzatziki sauce. In a medium bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber (make sure to squeeze out excess water), minced garlic, lemon juice, and chopped fresh dill. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix well to combine.
- Toast the hot dog buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes, until they are lightly golden and crispy.
- Once the hot dogs are ready, place a grilled hot dog in each toasted bun. Top each dog with a generous amount of tzatziki sauce.
- Serve the tzatziki dogs immediately, with extra tzatziki sauce on the side for dipping, and enjoy the burst of flavors!
Tips
- For a spicier kick, consider adding a dash of cayenne pepper or some chopped jalapeños to the tzatziki sauce.
- If you're looking for a healthier alternative, try using turkey or chicken hot dogs instead of traditional beef hot dogs.
- This tzatziki sauce also works wonderfully as a dip for fresh vegetables or pita chips!
