
Udon with Sake Sauce

Ingredients
- Vegetable oil (1 tablespoon)
- Toasted sesame seeds (1 tablespoon)
- Green onions (2, thinly sliced)
- Sugar (1 teaspoon)
- Mirin (1 tablespoon)
- Soy sauce (2 tablespoons)
- Sake (1/4 cup)
- Udon noodles (8 ounces)
Instructions
- Cook the udon noodles according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a small saucepan, combine the sake, soy sauce, mirin, and sugar. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes until the sugar has dissolved and the sauce has slightly thickened.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the cooked udon noodles and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until heated through.
- Pour the sake sauce over the noodles and toss to coat evenly. Cook for an additional 1-2 minutes until the sauce is well incorporated.
- Remove from heat and garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
