Ingredients

Beef sirloin
1 pound, thinly sliced
Soy sauce

Ginger
1 tablespoon, grated
Brown sugar
1 tablespoon

2 cups, cooked (for serving)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar until well combined. This will be your marinade.
  2. Add the sliced beef to the marinade, ensuring all pieces are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes to absorb the flavors.
  3. Heat the cooking oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering.
  4. Add the marinated beef to the skillet, spreading it out in a single layer. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes, or until the beef is cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside.
  5. In the same skillet, add the sliced onions, bell pepper, carrots, and green onions. Stir-fry for 2-3 minutes, or until the vegetables are crisp-tender.
  6. Return the cooked beef to the skillet, tossing everything together until heated through. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve the Ul Boov over a generous helping of cooked rice, garnishing with extra green onions if desired.
  8. Enjoy your delicious and comforting Ul Boov!
