Garlic
3 cloves, minced
Fresh clams
2 lbs, cleaned
White wine
1/2 cup
Soy sauce
2 tablespoons
Green onions
4, chopped
Salt and pepper
to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the udon noodles as per the package instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until it releases its aroma.
  3. Introduce the fresh clams to the pan and douse with white wine. Cover the pan and allow the clams to steam until they open, which should take around 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the opened clams from the pan and set them aside. Any clams that remain closed should be discarded as they are not safe to eat.
  5. In the same pan with the clam-infused broth, stir in the soy sauce and half of the chopped green onions.
  6. Toss in the cooked udon noodles into the pan, ensuring they are thoroughly coated with the flavorful sauce.
  7. Return the cooked clams back to the pan and toss gently to combine everything. Season with salt and pepper according to your preference.
  8. Serve the Upton Udon Noodles with Clams hot, garnished with the remaining green onions. Enjoy this taste of coastal Japan in the comfort of your own home!
