Experience a tantalizing twist on traditional wings with these Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Wings. Crisp, tangy, and delightfully spicy, these wings offer a guilt-free indulgence. Baked to perfection and doused in a fiery buffalo sauce, they're a crowd-pleaser that also happens to be plant-based. Originating from the innovative vegan kitchens of the late 20th century, this dish has risen in popularity in recent years as a delicious and health-conscious alternative to classic buffalo wings.

Servings: 4

Ingredients

Vegan butter
1/2 cup, melted
Buffalo sauce
1 cup
Paprika
1 teaspoon
Garlic powder
1 teaspoon
Plant-based milk
1 cup
All-purpose flour
1 cup
Cauliflower
1 head, cut into florets

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, plant-based milk, garlic powder, and paprika. Stir until well combined into a smooth batter.
  3. Dip each cauliflower floret into the batter, ensuring it's fully coated. Let any excess batter drip off before placing the florets onto the prepared baking sheet.
  4. Bake the cauliflower for 20 minutes, flipping halfway through to ensure even cooking.
  5. While the cauliflower is baking, prepare the buffalo sauce. In a separate bowl, combine the buffalo sauce and melted vegan butter, stirring until well mixed.
  6. Remove the cauliflower from the oven and toss them in the buffalo sauce mixture until well coated.
  7. Return the buffalo sauce coated cauliflower to the baking sheet and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the wings become crispy and golden.
  8. Serve the Vegan Cauliflower Buffalo Wings hot, with vegan ranch dressing and celery sticks on the side. Enjoy your meatless wing night!
