Authentic Vietnamese Pho Bo
Embark on a culinary journey to Vietnam with this Pho Bo recipe. This traditional Vietnamese noodle soup is a symphony of flavors, combining tender slices of beef brisket with a rich and aromatic broth infused with star anise, cinnamon, and cloves. Ingredients
- 1/2 cup Hoisin sauce
- 1/4 cup Sriracha sauce
- 2, cut into wedges Lime
- 1 bunch each Fresh herbs (Thai basil, cilantro, mint)
- 2 cups Bean sprouts
- 400 grams Rice noodles
- 1 kilogram, sliced Beef brisket
- 5 Cloves
- 1 Cinnamon stick
- 6 Star anise
- 3 inch piece Ginger
- 1 large, halved Onion
- 2 kilograms Beef bones

Instructions
- In a large pot, add the beef bones, onion, ginger, star anise, cinnamon stick, and cloves. Fill the pot with enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
- Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for 2-3 hours, skimming off any impurities that rise to the surface.
- Strain the broth and discard the solids. Return the broth to the pot and bring it back to a boil.
- Add the beef brisket slices to the boiling broth and cook them for 1-2 minutes, until they're cooked through.
- While the beef is cooking, prepare the rice noodles according to the instructions on the package.
- Divide the cooked noodles among serving bowls, then top the noodles with the cooked beef slices.
- Pour the hot broth over the noodles and beef until they're covered.
- Serve your Pho Bo with bean sprouts, fresh herbs, lime wedges, Sriracha sauce, and Hoisin sauce on the side. Allow your guests to add these garnishes according to their taste.
