Virgin Aperol Spritz

A bold and zesty, non-alcoholic reinterpretation of the classic Aperol Spritz cocktail. It's a vibrant, sunshine-filled drink that encapsulates the spirit of an Italian summer afternoon. The Virgin Aperol Spritz is a perfect refresher for those who crave the tantalizing tang of the original, but prefer a booze-free beverage. Originating from Italy, this drink is traditionally enjoyed as an aperitif, a pre-dinner drink to awaken the appetite.

Serves 1

Ingredients

Orange slice
1
Ice cubes
as needed
Grenadine syrup
1 tablespoon
Sparkling water
1/2 cup
Fresh orange juice
1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. Prepare a wide-brim glass by filling it with ice cubes.
  2. Pour the fresh orange juice over the ice, allowing it to chill the juice while not diluting the flavor.
  3. Add the grenadine syrup to the mix. The syrup will sink to the bottom creating a beautiful gradient in the drink. Stir gently to combine, but not too much as you want to maintain some of that lovely gradient effect.
  4. Slowly top with sparkling water, adding that signature, effervescent spritz finish.
  5. Carefully garnish with a fresh orange slice on the rim of the glass and serve immediately. Enjoy the bright, refreshing flavors of your homemade Virgin Aperol Spritz!

Tips

  • 💡 For a more intense orange flavor, you can add a few drops of orange extract to the mixture.
  • 💡 You can also add a splash of grapefruit juice for a more complex and tangy flavor.
