Ingredients

Original recipe serves 8

Granulated Sugar
1/2 cup
Lo han guo (monk fruit)
1, crushed
Honeysuckle flowers
1/2 cup, dried
Chrysanthemum flowers
1/4 cup, dried
Chinese mesona
1/2 cup, dried
Water
8 cups

Instructions

  1. Combine the water, dried Chinese mesona, dried chrysanthemum flowers, dried honeysuckle flowers, and crushed lo han guo in a large pot.
  2. Bring the mixture to a boil over high heat. Once boiling, reduce the heat to low.
  3. Let the mixture simmer on low heat for about 1 hour. This allows the flavors to infuse beautifully and create a rich, aromatic tea.
  4. After simmering, strain the tea into a large pitcher. Be sure to discard the solids.
  5. Stir in the granulated sugar until it is completely dissolved. Adjust the sweetness according to your preference.
  6. Let the tea cool to room temperature. Once cooled, refrigerate until chilled.
  7. Serve the Wang Lao Ji herbal tea over ice. Enjoy the revitalizing and refreshing taste of this traditional Chinese herbal tea.
