Weisswurst

1 loaf, sliced (preferably a rustic german bread)
Pickles
1 cup, assorted (dill pickles and gherkins recommended)
Mustard
1/2 cup (german mustard or spicy brown mustard)
Olive oil
2 tablespoons (for grilling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your grill or heat a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Drizzle the olive oil over the grill or skillet.
  3. Add the sausages to the grill or skillet and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally until they are browned and cooked through to an internal temperature of 160°F (70°C).
  4. Remove the sausages from the heat and let them rest for a few minutes.
  5. Slice the sausages into bite-sized pieces, aiming for pieces that are about 1 inch thick.
  6. On a large serving platter, artistically arrange the sliced sausages, creating a colorful display.
  7. Add the pickles in small bowls or scattered around the platter.
  8. Serve with the mustard in a small bowl for dipping, and lay the slices of rustic bread around the platter for guests to enjoy.
