Servings: 2

Ingredients

Yerba Luisa (Lemon Verbena) leaves
1 handful (about 1/4 cup)
Water
2 cups
Honey or sugar
to taste

Instructions

  1. Bring 2 cups of water to a boil in a pot or kettle.
  2. While the water is boiling, place a handful of Yerba Luisa leaves into a teapot or a large mug.
  3. Once the water reaches a boil, pour it directly over the Yerba Luisa leaves.
  4. Allow the tea to steep for 10-15 minutes. This allows the leaves to release their full flavor and beneficial properties into the water.
  5. After steeping, strain the tea into a cup to remove the leaves. You can use a tea strainer or a small sieve.
  6. Add honey or sugar according to your taste preference and stir well before serving. Enjoy your homemade Yerba Luisa tea hot, or let it cool and serve it over ice for a refreshing iced tea variant.
